Zoom: Setting Up and Running Group Advising Meetings
This covers how to set up a group advising meeting and some of the handy features like sharing a screen and registration reports. NOTE: Polling appears to have been disabled at the account level, but you can enable in-meeting polling by going into your Zoom account settings.
Be sure to watch the other trainings on recordings. Washington is a two-party consent state, so it is important to make sure you have everyone's consent to record. The short answer is "yes", though it does take some logistical management. The UW Google Suite and UW OneDrive provide opportunities for collaborating on documents with students synchronously and asynchronously. Just as importantly they provide a way to share documents securely. These videos demonstrate how to use these tools in an advising context and highlight important details for safe document sharing.
